Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 12, 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on pokiterec.com, for what purpose, and how you can control them. We apply the Google Consent Mode v2 framework from the very first millisecond of your visit.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit (language preference, session, navigation metrics). There are first-party cookies (created by pokiterec.com) and third-party cookies (Google, for example).
2. Categories we use
- • Strictly necessary: keep the site running (language, load balancing). They do not require consent.
- • Functional: remember your cookie banner preferences and other UI choices.
- • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 measures aggregate traffic. Only activated if you grant consent to analytics_storage.
- • Advertising: Google Ads (AW-18064110603) measures conversions and personalises ads. Requires explicit consent to ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Consent Mode v2 following Google's 2024 guidelines. By default, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage are denied. Only when you accept on the banner are they updated to granted, at which point Google receives the consent signal and starts logging complete events. We also set ads_data_redaction=true and url_passthrough=true to reinforce protection before consent.
4. How do you manage your preferences?
You can accept, reject or fine-tune your cookies in the banner that appears on your first visit. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. To change it, clear the site data in your browser and visit us again, or write to privacy@pokiterec.com.
5. Retention periods
Analytics cookies are retained for up to 14 months. Google advertising cookies up to 13 months, per Google Ads' retention policy. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
6. Your rights
Under Ecuador's LOPDP and the EU GDPR for European users, you may withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
